Bearsted Parish Council welcome your feedback on a proposed 20mph speed limit starting from the junction of Hog Hill finishing at the WI Hall. This would include the perimeter of the Green and continue along Church Lane which is a busy walking route without safe footpaths.
Importantly, this is not a Bearsted-wide speed limit, but a focused proposal around the village green.
The area has high pedestrian traffic, including a children’s play area, large open space, shops and pubs.
It is thought that a reduced speed limit would help improve safety.
