Summer Playscheme Tickets
Tickets for this years Playscheme will go on sale on the 2nd June 2025.
The Playscheme will now be held at the Madginford Hall with access to the Madginford School field. This will be a smaller event than usual and tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.
There will be 2 tickets available.
Week 1 – 24th & 25th July £60.00 (2 days)
Week 2 – 28th July to 1st August £150.00 (5 days)
Playscheme will run from 9am to 3pm each day.
Please note this event is no longer run by the Parish Council however we will be assisting Amanda by selling tickets via our website.
Your booking information will be held by the Parish Council for the duration of the ticket sales period only. This will be transferred to the event organiser once ticket sales are closed.

Barty House Nursing Home Summer Fayre
Barty House Nursing Home are holding a summer fayre on the 19th July. If you would like a stall at the fayre, please contact Pauline at paulinebutler27@icloud.com
Council Meeting Start Times
Please note that from 1st June to the 30th November all of our Council meetings will begin at 7pm. This is a trial period and will be reviewed again in November 2025

The Parish Council Needs You
We would like to thank Neil Francis, who recently stepped down from his role as Parish Councillor, for his commitment and support on our Communications Committee and with events. We wish Neil all the best for the future.
The Parish Council now has two vacancies for the role of Parish Councillor. Do you have some spare time, would you like to be more involved in the Community? If so this could be the role for you.
Concerned about traffic and road issues? Our Traffic and Transport Committee are working on several initiatives to make Bearsted safer.
Enjoy local community events? Our Communications Committee are involved in several events and are always looking for new innovative ways to communicate with residents.
Bearsted Village – our Environment Committee is involved in maintaining and improving our open spaces, play areas, the village Green, benches, memorials, and many more assets.
We also have a Planning Committee, HR Committee and Finance Working Group – could you bring some expertise in these areas?

Meadow Bank Update
A huge thank you the Medway Valley Countryside Partnership team and volunteers, who have made a great start on the steps at Meadow Bank. Nice to see a local making full use of the area!
