The Green – Premises Licence

Bearsted Parish Council are in the process of making slight variations to the current premises licence for the Green. The notice as below is currently displayed around the Green and gives residents the opportunity to raise queries directly with the Licencing Partnership. However if residents have any queries, they are welcome to contact the Parish Clerk for more information on 01622 630165 or via email at clerk@bearstedparishcouncil.gov.uk

We would like to reassure residents that we are only varying the licence to allow for a few more community events per year. Each event will still need to be approved by the Parish Council and where necessary MBC.

IMPORTANT – Church Lane Car Park Closure

We can now confirm that the car park will be closed entirely from the 2nd March to 6th March, following this small areas will be cordoned off until the end of the works.

Bearsted Parish Council have appointed Steadline Limited to undertake works to install 3 large soakaways at the Church Lane car park to alleviate surface water run off.

The work is scheduled to begin on the 2nd March 2026. Completion expected by the 20th March 2026. During this time some areas of the car park will be closed off, therefore limiting the number of parking spaces available. For a short time during this period the car park will need to be completely closed and we will be provide exact dates in due course.

We ask anyone intending to park in other local roads during this time to be considerate of residents and to park responsibly.
