Appointment of new Clerk

New Clerk 2020

 

It is with pleasure that we announce that Erin Sugden has been appointed Clerk to Bearsted Parish Council.

Erin has worked for the Council for a number of years and is keen to continue to work with residents to protect and enhance our village environment and wellbeing.

We are pleased that Erin has accepted this appointment and know she will continue to contribute much to the community.

Summer 2020 Parish Booklet

Our new Summer 2020 Parish booklets have just been printed and distribution will commence next week.  Our thanks go to the advertisers who have supported this new booklet.

VE Day 75th Anniversary – We Remember

Our Chairman Michael Bollom and his wife are pleased to unveil our ‘Lest We Forget’ silhouette on The Green ahead of the VE Day 75th Anniversary celebrations tomorrow.

AGM and Mynn Awards Postponed

Our AGM and Mynn Awards has unfortunately had to be postponed until further notice. We hope to be able to advise a new date in due course.

Full Council Meeting 11th February 2020- Cancelled

Please be aware that the meeting of the Full Council has been cancelled on Tuesday 11th February 2020.

The next meeting of the Full Council will take place on Tuesday 10th March 2020.

Due to strong winds it is not safe to place notices on the noticeboards.

‘Stay Well’ this winter

Ahead of the festive season, which we are sure most of you are in the full swing of, Kent County Council have put together some information about how to ‘Stay Well’ during the winter season. Kent Fire & Rescue – Stay safe & well

Kent Fire and Rescue are offering  a free ‘Safe and Well’ home visit service for people living in Kent and Medway

From testing, fitting and relocating smoke alarms, to looking out for potential fire hazards and planning escape routes – one of their friendly home safety officers can help to make your home fire safe.

It is not only fire risk they assess,  slip, trip and fall hazards will be identified and even risks to babies and children.
