Help to improve the NHS 111 service
/in News /by ClerkNHS Kent & Medway and NHS Sussex are working together to improve the NHS 111 service, and we would really value your support in helping us reach local residents.
NHS 111 is a free, 24/7 service that provides advice and support for non-emergency health concerns. It helps people get the right care, in the right place, at the right time whether accessed online or by phone.
To ensure the service is working well for everyone, we are inviting people to share their experiences through a short survey. This feedback will help us:
- Understand what works well within NHS 111
- Identify barriers or challenges people face
- Find ways to improve the service
The survey takes just 5–10 minutes and is completely confidential. It will remain open until Monday 4th August.
Being A Parish Councillor – What does it involve?
/in News /by ClerkHow can we improve our community? This is what drives our wonderful team of volunteer Parish Councillors.
At Bearsted Parish Council we have 15 seats but currently only 14 Councillors.
We have 5 dedicated Committees and one Working Group which service the Council and the Community, these include, Communications, Environment, Traffic & Transport, HR, Planning and Finance.
Between us, we manage many things around the village, including 2 play areas, the Village Green, the pond, Meadow Bank Nature Reserve, the Elizabeth Harvie Field, benches, memorials, Church Lane car park, 2 allotment sites, the annual Fireworks night, Christmas lights and switch on events, traffic, parking and road concerns and much much more.
If you would like a greater insight into what is involved the Suffolk Association of Local Councils have put together a short video which can be viewed here
If you would like more information on what is involved or how to become a Parish Councillor, please contact the Clerk at clerk@bearstedparishcouncil.gov.uk, or visit the office at Madginford Hall, Egremont Road, ME15 8LH, the opening times can be found on the website.
