Roseacre Junior School – New Sensory Room

Bearsted Parish Council have just had the privilege of attending the opening of the new Wooden Spoon Sensory Room at Roseacre Junior School.
 
Thanks were given to The Wooden Spoon, The Children’s Charity of Rugby and The Friends of Roseacre who donated the funds for this much needed sensory space.
 
Also in attendance were representatives of the Maidstone Rugby Club who raise money through various events for the Wooden Spoon Charity and ourselves who donated money towards the equipment for the room.
 
The room was officially opened by the Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Martin Round.
 
This room provides an amazing environment, not only for children with additional needs but for all pupils of Roseacre to enjoy, learn in and benefit from.
Well done to the whole team at Roseacre for making this happen and thank you for inviting us to share this with you

Footpath between Roseacre Lane and St Faiths Lane

Please note the footpath between Roseace Lane and St Faith Lane will be closed to the public on the 17th & 18th June.

This is to undertake some necessary tree work and to ensure the safety of residents.

Summer Playscheme Tickets

Tickets for this years Playscheme will go on sale on the 2nd June 2025.

The Playscheme will now be held at the Madginford Hall with access to the Madginford School field. This will be a smaller event than usual and tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.

There will be 2 tickets available.

Week 1 – 24th & 25th July £60.00 (2 days)

Week 2 – 28th July to 1st August £150.00 (5 days)

Playscheme will run from 9am to 3pm each day.

Please note this event is no longer run by the Parish Council however we will be assisting Amanda by selling tickets via our website. 

Your booking information will be held by the Parish Council for the duration of the ticket sales period only. This will be transferred to the event organiser once ticket sales are closed.
