Communication System Down

From Friday 20th Sept to Monday 23rd September we will be undertaking some necessary maintenance work to our communication systems, Therefore the office staff and Councillors will be unavailable by email.
 
We will endeavour to respond as soon as our systems are back up and running.

Bearsted Fireworks 2024- Tickets Coming Soon

The popular Bearsted Annual Fireworks display will be back for 2024 with ABBA vs Swift Mania!

We’re celebrating the iconic ABBA and pop sensation Taylor Swift in a dazzling display of light and sound. Whether you’re Team ABBA or Team Swiftie, this night promises to be a celebration of incredible music and breathtaking visuals.

Maidstone Borough Council Resident Survey 2024

Maidstone Borough Council would like you part to take part in their 2024 Resident Survey.

This is an opportunity for you to tell MBC about your experiences as a resident of Maidstone.
Every resident who completes the survey can enter into a prize draw to be in with a chance of winning a variety of prizes. Also those who enter the prize draw will be eligible for a 7-day gym pass at Maidstone Leisure Centre. Playscheme 2024

Time has flown by with Friday seeing the end of another successful playscheme. It has been a busy 8 days for the staff and children with so many fun activities taking place, including:

  • Slime and playdough making
  • T-shirt design
  • Pottery Painting
  • Bracelet workshop
  • Heaps of arts and crafts
  • Animal meet and greet with Wild Science including snakes, giant snails and fluffy bunnies.
  • Football, tennis and much more

With the beautiful weather, both Friday fun days meant we could make most of being outside with an inflatable assault course and bouncy castle on the field, as well as Didi cars and an ice cream station.

We are grateful to Footie 4 Tots, PC James Phillips our local BEAT police officer and Callum Adams the paramedic who gave up their time for free to visit and entertain the children. It was amazing to see them so engaged and interested.

We wouldn’t have been able to do all this without those who sponsor and/or offer their time to assist us in the running of the playscheme.

We would like to say a big thank you to Bray and Sons who kindly transport all the playscheme equipment before and after each year, free of charge.

Our thanks go to The Oak on the Green and the Bearsted for donations towards the daily fruit snacks. JD Bush Decorators, Kent County Council, Thurnham, Boxley and Downswood Parish Councils for their donations to the running costs. Also thank you to BP leisure and workwear for sponsoring our staff t-shirts.

Lastly a huge THANK YOU to Amanda and Jo for running yet another great playscheme for 2024.
