Advanced notice for bonfire works

Bearsted Parish Council would like to make residents aware that a bonfire is to be lit on the Elizabeth Harvie field this coming Sunday morning, to help dispose of cuttings/shrubbery from works undertaken around the Parish by the Community Payback scheme.

If you do walk through the area, it is advisable to stay at a safe distance and that dogs are kept on leads. Please be advised this is not a public event. BPC appreciate your patience and understanding and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause in advance.

No Christmas Fair this year – Sorry!

We’ve had a number of enquiries regarding the Christmas Fair. Unfortunately the fair is not being held this year. The Council will look into its return next year. Sorry for any disappointment.

Adopt a planter

The proceeds from the advertising in the recent Information Booklet has enabled us to fund ‘Welcome to Bearsted’ planters which will be located beneath our free standing notice boards at Egremont Road car park, Shirley Way, A20 Yeoman Lane car park, A20 end of Church Landway, Cross Keys, Holy Cross Church, The Green and Hog Hill. We are inviting volunteers who would like to ‘adopt’ a planter and tend to it to keep it in tip top condition. Bearsted Parish Council will be providing liners, soil, and plants, so its just a matter of your time. Interested? Please get in touch if so
